Feeling lost
For a long time, I felt lost. My heart wanted to serve God, but I didn't know what His plan was for me. The website business started as a simple suggestion from my friend Tina in our Bible study group: "You should really start a website-building business!" I wasn't sold initially, but I decided to give it a try after she mentioned it multiple times.
The turning point
The moment of clarity came during dinner with another friend, Jamie. She mentioned that churches could be good potential clients. When she said the word “church,” something clicked. The mission became clear right on the spot: to build websites for small churches that have no budget.
The doubts
As I began reaching out to these churches, I hit walls. Doubts crept in: Does God even care about this? Is it something churches even need? The first time I thought of giving up, I opened the Bible randomly to Ezra 6:7.
Do not interfere with the work on this temple of God...Ezra 6:7
When I doubted again, I opened to Ecclesiastes 9:10.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might...Ecclesiastes 9:10
I didn’t even try much at all. I had fallen into “paralysis by analysis,” waiting for every door to open effortlessly and assuming that if it was God’s plan, it would be easy. I learned that struggle doesn’t mean God isn’t at work. Since then, my perspective has shifted, and I’ve begun to enjoy the process and have fun.
The clarity
Looking back, my past began to make sense. What I once thought were random and wasted paths — my degree in Computer Science and my experience as a Software Engineer — were part of God’s preparation all along, even when I couldn’t see it at the time.
The vision forward
The goal over the next three years is to build 1,000 websites for churches and ministries. What began as an outreach program is just the starting point, with a vision to grow into a dedicated nonprofit organization.
