FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about the outreach, website support, and how to get involved.

What exactly is included in the website?

The website is simple and focused on the essentials:

  • Church name
  • Location/address and service times
  • Short description or mission statement
  • Basic contact information (email, phone, etc.)
  • Optional sections like a welcome message or ministries overview

The goal is a clear, easy-to-find digital home for your church.

How long does it take to build the website?

Once we have the required information and the domain is purchased, most sites are completed in about 1-4 weeks. Timelines can vary based on the waitlist and responsiveness, so we cannot guarantee a specific date.

What information do you need from the church?

We typically ask for:

  • Church name
  • Address and service times
  • Short description or mission statement
  • Contact email or phone number
  • Logo or images (optional)
  • Any style preferences (colors, layout, tone)
  • A domain name (we can help guide you)
What am I responsible for, and what do you cover?

We handle the build, setup, and launch, including connecting the domain so the site goes live. The church purchases and renews the domain, and keeps control of it.

As resources grow, we hope to cover domain costs as well. After launch, we do not offer ongoing maintenance or edits due to limited resources, but it never hurts to reach out and ask.

Who is eligible for website support?

We serve smaller churches with limited budgets and tight financial resources for website projects.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. The only cost is the domain registration, paid directly to the registrar. It is typically around $15-$20 per year, but can be higher. We can help you find a domain within your budget.

Who owns the website and domain?

The church maintains ownership of the domain and website content. Once launched, the site is handed over to you with no ongoing obligation.

What happens if the church no longer wants the website?

You can choose to delete the site or simply not renew the domain. No notice or coordination is required.

Can the church make changes after the website is finished?

Yes, you have control to make changes however you prefer. If you would like us to make changes, complimentary ongoing maintenance or edits are not available at this time due to limited resources. You are welcome to reach out to inquire about availability, as we hope to expand support as resources allow.

Can you redesign or rebuild an existing website?

We encourage you to apply! An outdated website may not give visitors the best first impression. While our priority is churches without a website, we’d be happy to help polish existing sites when possible.

How do I donate, and where does the donation go?

You can visit the donate page or reach out to us directly. You can direct your gift to both missions, the church website mission, or SearchChurch.info. If you choose church websites, you can also specify the focus: the overall fund, domain sponsorships, complex setup add-ons, future maintenance/support, volunteer support, or another purpose.

We are currently setting up donation processing, so we collect your preferences and follow up with next steps.

I'd like to be a part of it. What can I do to help?

Yes, we would love some help. You can help with social media, build websites, reach out to churches, serve as an ambassador, or support fundraising. No long-term commitment is required, and even a few hours of help or sharing the outreach with friends and family makes a big difference.

Is this service tied to donations or future commitments?

No. This outreach is not tied to donations, contracts, or future commitments.

Why are you offering this service?

For His kingdom, making it easier for people to find a church community. "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together... but encourage one another." Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT)

How do we request a website?

Reach out by email or phone, or through the Apply page. If your request fits our current capacity, we will follow up and get started.
